Many people like collecting them because they are easy to store. These are highly collectible in Japan and in many other countries.
There are often multiple versions with different artwork that usually matches the larger posters. If anyone is wondering, 'chirashi' posters are B5 paper size (approximately 7' x 10') and are available in the lobbies of the cinemas in Japan and are free for the public to take and collect.
My favorites would have to probably be the Halloween ones (not so much the Rob Zombie one but definitely the others), Donnie Darko, Dawn of the Dead, the first Dead Snow one, The Ring, Ju-on, Ju-on 2, Kansen, Yogen, and Perfume: The Story of a Murderer.
